    Default Black rhino sunrise

    Attached Images Attached Images

6.41 am sunrise and a Black Rhino senses our presence and begins to trot away taking flight his Ox-pecker passengers.
The smoke haze kept light at a premium, but allowed for a more pleasing sunrise exposure.

    Somewhere in Northern Kenya.

I fly out tomorrow for a special 21 nights in Ruaha NP and hope the already cloud build up does not lead to extensive showers just yet, fingers crossed, so will see you all on my return!

Oh ....and enjoy your 3 week Namibia trip as well Morkel

    Cheers

A nice image, Marc. It's a shame he was so close to the trees on the left horizon but the ox-peckers fill that gap nicely between the rhino and the sun

Hi Marc - Glad you got that head turn as he moved away. Beautiful sunrise and the birds add to the overall image for me.

    TFS and enjoy your trip,
    Rachel

Beautiful image mate! The head-turn and birds make it.
Seems to be a slight halo around the rhino but I am not viewing on a good monitor today.

Enjoy your trip, and thanks for the wishes!
