Image was captured at Ocean City Rookery this past June in the early morning. He had just flown to this perch from I gather dining in a shallow ocean marsh or inlet. His head and neck are rather soaked. C&C welcome.

    This is lovely Geoffrey!
I love the light and the look back pose and the "wet look".
The greens look great and exposure is spot on.I like the shadowed greens on the left of the frame.
You have shown the subtle iridescence of the feathers perfectly.

    Excellent image, Geoffrey
Very nice look back pose with superb iridescence colors, beautiful perch, Bg and composition.

Geoffrey the sheen's on the feathers are superb and I do like the pose on the bird, when I first opened this I thought the greens in the bg were a bit strong but the more I look The more I realize I was wrong, lovely shot.

The ibis looks great, and nicely separated form the BG. Neat "wet look" on the face. I like the vegetation along the bottom right edge. Not so much the shaded left part though as it just pulls my eye there too much. A bit more room below would help with the foot being so close to the edge.

Hi Geoff, good look back pose showing off the curved bill, and the light has brought out the iridescence on the wing very well. Nicely perched in the open, well placed in the frame, and I would add a bit to the bottom to give the feet a touch of space.

Thanks Daniel. As much as I would like to add more room at the base of the frame Daniel and Stu, that's the extent of it. It might take some work in post, but I think its worth a try.
