    Default Eland Thirst

Seeing a fully grown Eland bull is a pleasure, they are stately and huge!
This is from my time spent in Etosha in May 2013. I am headed back to Namibia on Friday for a 3 week safari (2 weeks Etosha, 1 week Namib desert), so thought it apt to post a photo from there.

    Techs:
    Nikon D3s
    Nikkor 500mm f4 VR-II
    f8.0 | 1/1000 SS | ISO-360
slight crop from top, left and right

I always find the horns on Elands never seem to match Morkel, one usually has a twists the other does not .......... I like the Collard Dove between the two and the mood of the image

Great to see the Proteas back on song especially against the Aussies

Hi Morkel -- A great specimen here ! Looks in sublime condition . IQ looks great and very nicely processed as well . I also like that drop of water coming down from its mouth . Nice image indeed .

Have a wonderful trip and wish you bring back some memorable images with you .

    TFS !

Hi Morkel - Nice light on the one on the left and good look at the eland. I would prefer a little more room below.

    TFS,

Just a nice overall Etosha feel to this Morkel, agree on a tad more lower room, enjoy your 3 week trip, but you always told me you can never have the luxury of any more than 2 weeks away , are you taking the family?
I leave tomorrow for a 3 weeker to Ruaha myself.
