Early Morning Grey Heron.

Found this Heron very early one morning, hence a slight red cast, but decided not to adjust white balance as I think this image shows the light as it was.
Removed some highlights and debris off the water, but left feather.......also feather on heron's neck.

Hi Graham, you have captured the Grey Heron behaviour perfectly. As you probably witnessed, they stand so still for ages, and in this I like the raised foot too. I too like the golden light, but feel the image has too much contrast.

I like the colours in this image. The raised foot adds to the image. I think this needs a bit of CCW rotation based off the line in the water behind the heron. Love the light.
