    Default Alder Flycatcher

I really needed this species for my files . . for this bird I surely sacrificed sharpness since I took this from my kayak, handholding my 300 f2.8 with 2x converter. Since I'll typically use this no larger than 4 x 6 inches for publication, it should be fine.

Impressive results from 300mm + 2x from a kayak handheld. Love the BG. And congrats on getting a clean look at a needed species! The perch, while clean, is very stark and straight; I'm not crazy about it. There seems to be a little cloning artifact at the LLC on the perch. A little extra head turn would be nice too.

Very nice Jeff. Id probly rather see a bit less space on the bottom and more on top.

Beautifully captured Jeff. Sharp , sharp and excellent detail and pose. The open beak is a nice bonus. Congratulations on a very fine image. !!

Hey Jeff, this is a great image and is really amazing taking on count the dificulties you had in order to get it. I just want to know if you in the US have the Willow Flycatcher that is identical to this Empidonax alnorum, I am just curious since I know I have seen one of these ones or may be both!
