Posting a WD for a change. She was totally relaxed and was resting while waiting for the males to bring food back to the den.

sometimes they are attractive (as in this image) and sometimes they are not (when attacking other animals)

a meaningful image reflecting a really natural situation

I like the contrast between the two eyes, there is detail in both, and the head position, colours and contrasting light ..... beautiful

and DOF throughout the image for me is perfect

maybe the space above the subject and on the LHS is just a shade tight - but that can only be discovered by trying it ..... so I cannot really say that

    Well done and TFS

Hi Sanjeev - a nice simple portrait of the wild dog with no distracting elements. The body (not the face) looks a little flat, I would give the midtones a bit of a boost.

    TFS,
    Rachel

    This is lovely Sanjeev,

I really like the light here, combined with the pensive mood of this female WD.

There's a softness and tranquility to this frame I so enjoy. Well processed! I guess you know how I feel about SS in general, but the lack of movement from the subject here allowed you to get away with it:)

This works for me, from composition to colours to that lovely detail on the face - beautiful.

Have a wonderful week-end, hope you find the time to post some more,
    Gabriela Plesea

I like the image very much, the detail is good and I sense that maybe there could be some improvement in the tonal range. I must confess that a subject such as this is not easily rendered to optimal effect and if Iwere to try I am sure it would take several attempts.

Nice light on this very relaxed dog.
I agree that you can selectively add some punch to the subject, Doc...
