Looking up (vertical) to the treehouse my son is creating for his sons. Always a fan of Calvin and Hobbes, he's creating an homage to that cartoon, so I created a cartoon image of it.

Hazel, your grandsons are lucky :) I like the complimentary colors and the perspective. Did you use Topaz?

I wish the image were a bit larger to see it better. I love the colors, and the cartoon effect works really well. I might eliminate the branch in lower right corner and do something about the dark bluish area on the upper part of the main branch. It looks like a fun treehouse.

Thanks, Anita. I had looked at this so many times I hadn't seen the branch, etc. Here is a redo with that plus a fun change I'd sent to friends. Don't know if you are familiar with the Calvin and Hobbes cartoons but they were a favorite of my son's when growing up. They had a treehouse much like this one in the comic strip and Tobin built this as a homage to them, so I added them to the photo.

I know how it is to look at an image so much that I miss an obvious problem! I like the redo. My son learned to read largely with Calvin and Hobbes! He has a beautiful Calvin and Hobbes tattoo on his back, in full color.
