This female was resting on the ground on a huge aviary at a local zoo. This species is really hard to photograph in the wild and I have not a single decent image of this beautifull bird so I enjoyed a lot portraying this captive born female. At close distances, the 300VR lens works almost like a macro and the amount of details that this lens can register s amazing.

Interesting feather patterns. A lower angle would be nice but I have a feeling that that wasn't possible where you were photographing. I like how the lower front is OOF....rather spotlights the head. I just wish for a different BG and a catchlight in the eye.

    Hi Juan,
you make always fantastic images! In this one I agree with Lana; it would be better to have a lower angle, to be on eye-level with the bird.
A catchlight in the eye would be great.
I love the details and the colours in this one.
