The loch was looking good today, with no wind. This Grey Heron was wading and showing some good reflections, which I managed to capture. He then took off from the water. I liked the flight pose and water trail on this frame.

I am sooooo jealous! I keep trying to catch the herons near me but they take off too soon. Maybe some day....
    Nice opposite reflections.

Nicely captured. I like the reflection. I wish the bird was coming towards you rather than going aways....

    Awesome keep shooting...

Really nice take off pose Will, classic heron wing position and the reflection works well. I'd like to see just a little extra space below if you have it but not a major issue.

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. Hi Mike, I had already changed my focus point to top, when photographing him wading. I anticipated the bird taking off, so luckily yes, I do have some on the bottom. I will keep in mind for the next one

Sweet. I like it both with and without the reflection. The splashing water adds much to the dynamic BIF image.

Nice fame William. I like the side profile with the nice reflection and the frozen take-off splash. Details look good too. Well done

    Nice action pose.
I like the reflection and the sense of movement.
I just wish you had been positioned 5 feet to the right from where you were. I feel like the bird has just passed you by,

Hi Will, great shot, nice details even the reflection, like the water splash in the back give that extra action to the shot ,really well done. Thank you for sharing.
