    Taken from a skiff on a small blackwater tributary of the Amazon last year, in dark tropical lighting conditions.

    D7200, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 3200, 1/640s @ f/7.1 manual.

    Nice Bill, obviously gloomy conditions, but you've handled it very well, especially with the ISO 3200.

    Good shades on the bird, and a lovely head turn.

    I like the way the conditions you had to deal with gives a nice feel to the finished image ,nice pose and that lovely red beak just adds that nice bit of colour,very nice Bill.

    Good capture Bill. It feels exactly like you describe it with dark tropical lighting. The large out of focus green leaf BG adds to it as does the clear eye and colorful beak.

    Brought my gear to the jungles of Belize for the first time a while ago and realized how hard it was to get a clear shot of anything!! Not as easy as one might think. Well done getting this guy with a nice pose.

    Excellent capture, Bill. Very nice detail in the deep rich black feathers. Like the pose with head turn showing that beautiful orange beak. Well done.
