This adult GBH had just chased a young one away, and was now flying back to the spot it had come from.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/2000s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, small crop for comp, two grass blades crossing behind the neck removed via a combination of clone and content aware tools. Darkened the subtle oof FG foliage along the bottom right of the frame.

BIF with tack focus, clear eye, complimentary BG, and feather detail - nailed it here. No comment except great shot.

    Daniel:

The angle of the bird in the frame, downstroke position and particularly the softer, less detailed patch behind the head and neck, all works well. Nice framing.

    Cheers

It all came together nicely for this one Dan, the full downstroke at the exact spot in the BG where there was a bit of a clearing to frame him nicely.

    Techs as good as ever.

Beautiful shot with great downstroke wing position. Lovely habitat. How nice of him to position himself against the reddish grasses.

You can almost hear the swishing of the grasses as the bird flies past Lovely capture and very natural looking
