While waking at the beach one overcast morning hoping to find an oystercatcher, I noticed this western gull fly off to an exposed rock
and grab a tasty morsel and land back on the beach with his prize. I was surprised to see that it was a starfish, I got in a few shots
before someone scared him off.
Very nice, Tim. I can't tell that it's a starfish if I have not read your comments but that's probably just me. It's just that the pebbles in the far BG is a little bit too busy for the top of the image but obviously you have to deal with what you are presented with.
Awesome! I love the gull's pose with it's tongue sticking out, and the beach litter is very nice too. I'm OK with the oof pebbles above, it's just a bit of bad luck to have the large green patch of vegetation touching the subject. The overcast light looks good too, just what I like.
Lovely 'natural' looking image. Great POV and the greens show well, apart from the one pointed out by Daniel. Great detail on the bird and I like the pose.
