An amazing scene not often witnessed, this pair were at it for a good half hour........ it was the breeding season after all.
On this day I counted a tower of 72 Giraffe, what a spectacle with the males all having but one thing on their mind.

    Loisaba- Northern Kenya

Nikon D5 Nikkor 80-400 AF-S 1/1000s f/6.3 ISO250 @400mm. Almost F/F, bean bag from front pax seat, curves, levels, TK adj's in PS CC & ACR.

    Cheers
    Marc

Hi Marc - I have seen this a few times or at least seen it attempted a few times though usually in the trees so no photographs. Nice placement in frame and I like the ostrich in the bg. The light looks like it was a bit harsh already but well handled. I'm curious about the blue cast to the hillside in the bg because it looks like that hillside should have been lit by the sun. A tower of 70 - WOW!

    TFS,
    Rachel

to clarify ...... this scenario is not so much a rarity but one not often seen displayed out in the open such as I witnessed here, the winter light here was far from harsh with this shot @ 7.47 am hence the cool blue natural hillside.

The whites in the leg of the big male did require some TK adj's.

Hi Marc -- Another splendid frame from you , and i liked the moment which is taking place in the open which obviously not so easy to find . The Giraffes are striking out against that vibrant blues of the sky . superbly done .

    TFS !

OMG!!!Love the contrasting colors of the Giraffe against the deep blue sky with the hill in the BG. Not sure about the "hard core' element of the image though. It may restrict you from posting or printing, but otherwise a great image. Loi

Hi Marc ..... first impression is ... a very nice velvia touch in the image !!!
Like it a lot .Stunning action and you have created a very well overall balanced image .All does fit fit together ... for me .
I see something that i might change ( optional as it is a question of taste ) , the hues of the blues a bit more to the cyan side .
    Nice work Marc .
    TFS Andreas
