The look back saves the flying away position, nice topside view. head whites are a bit hot and he is also a bit too large in the frame

Thank you for the feedback guys. I don't live in an area where Eagles are an easy capture so it is just exciting for me to get an acceptable image. If someone knows of a good resource on bringing out the details on white feathers I would love to read / see it. Here it is with moire space:

Great look-back pose, and a nice dorsal view. Tough to get the details in the darks and on head and tail with these guys, but you came pretty close. Maybe a few small hot spots on head and tail, but it would be a keeper for me. I'd add a sliver more room on the right of the repost, and perhaps desaturate the sky a tad.

You got a fortunate head turn here, it indeed saves the image. Pretty cool flight image. The added space of the repost gives the comp more breathing room so that is an improvement. The brightest whites look just barely burnt - I'm sure the highlights slider during raw conversion would be good to bring those down and detail back up.

Very very nice. The look back allows for a great dorsal view but still engages the viewer.
Check the hottest whites in DPP and if they are greater than 255 then you can't do much to bring them back. If the are in the high 240's you can selectively reduce the highlights on the head in LR or PS.Also , if you have NIK EFEX PRO you can try Detail Extractor on that area but be careful with it because it can make the area grayish.
Worse case scenario is you can clone feathers into to the "hot" area from the correctly exposed areas

Besides loosening up the comp a bit, this one looks awesome. Nice details in the darks and lights and the HA saves the day. Well done
