    Default Click Ponds at Viera

It seems that they have started to drain the Click Ponds at the Viera Wetlands. The second pond is very low. I just passed through yesterday and didn't see the large number of birds that we have had in the past but there were 10-12 spoonbills in one pond and there was a large gathering of woodstorks by the creek in front of Heritage Isle.

I also a goodly number of stilts and black-bellied whistling ducks.

In the past the draining of the Click Ponds has attracted large numbers of birds.

I'll be going out tomorrow morning to do some photography out there. I'll report back on the AM activity.
