    Black and Orange Flycatcher.......male.
I have traveled more than 2500 km to photographed this bird, found only in South India.
Basic editing. Cropped for composition. NR applied to BG, as will as to bird. I have removed the most of sticks around the bird and also replaced the tail of the bird.
Eye lighten. Hope you will like it.

Congratulations on 7K!! Keep it up!!

Cute bird with a cute pose, well worth the travel to see and photograph one. It's like a warbler with oriole colours :-) Still lots of noise present though, did you need to lighten the image in post? Exposing to the right should yield cleaner result even with the 550D...

Hi Satish, always a pleasure looking at your bird shots, Gratz on 7k !!!, what a beautiful bird, love the colors, great job on replacing the tail, I also like the comp . I also see a bit of noise on the bird itself and the branch tho often its my reading glasses I wear, brings out a lot of detail that's not normally seen. Thank you for sharing something I will never get too see here in north america. Good job!

Excellent bird (not sure what it is even). Your details look pretty good but I think they could be better. I agree with Daniel about the noise. Also I think there is something weird going on with the perch. I can't tell if it is from cloning or what. The edges of the branch (?) look quite odd, especially the area that is touching the tail. It just seems to end abruptly. Also the tail looks odd to me, like some work was done on it and it is too sharply defined, specifically on the bottom. I can't tell if this is a branch and the background is sky or water, of if this is a rock that is sticking out of the water. Since it is such a special bird and took so much effort I would spend some more time on this one in post. Congrats on 7,000.

Wow, that is a long drive, great job, you are one dedicated birder! What is the name of this species? maybe darkening a bit and a looser crop would make is look a bit cleaner.

Hi Satish, big congrats on your 7000th milestone. Thanks for being part of the community and participating on other images. I like the angled pose, together with the various colours. Good points from the guys above. As Dan mentioned, exposing to the right will bring out a cleaner result, and I can see that if your repost was the original, it is a touch under exposed. Having said that, by bringing out the exposure in your OP, you have introduced some noise. Keep on shooting, and here's to another 7000 posts.

That's a lot of posts, well done with the commitment. My Birds of Southern India field guide tells me that this is a Black and Orange Flycatcher (Ficedula nigrorufa) aptly named and a bird I didn't see when I was there in late 2013.
