Default theme: Osprey showing off all her feathers

This is an adult female Osprey showing off all her feathers. This shot was taken at the sunset hour in July. She left for the season in mid August after successfully raising two chicks. Her partner and one of the young Osprey are still here as of two days ago. It is the latest I have seen the adult male Osprey stay but I don't think the young one is feeding himself and the father is still providing. We are having a decent storm today so it will be interesting to see if they are still here when the weather clears. 1/1600, f6.3, auto ISO-320, 361mm.

I like the wing position, fanned tail, details, BG and having both eyes visible is nice. I might take a sliver off the top comp wise but is fine as presented. Very well done John.

That's quite a stunning shot with full wing and tail spread, in nice light and good detail. Nicely captured.

Thanks guys. I saw the young male today, so he stayed through the storm. He should have headed south a few weeks ago. No sign of the adult male.

Very nice, wide wing and feather position, and facing some nice light too, sharp!

Hi John, I like the incoming pose showing off the full wingspread and curled primaries. Overall sharp, and if this were mine, I would take a bit off the top and add to the bottom.

Hey John, nicely done! I like the fully splayed feathers. Good BG. You really did well here, a very appealing image.

This is one of the nicest Osprey images I've seen John, with sharp focus on the eyes and across the entire wingspan with perfect exposure for these colours, with every ventral feather on display.

Fantastic frame John!! Love the fact that the wings are displayed so well with every primary separated perfectly. Nice exposure and details too and I like the overall colors. The repost looks great. Very nice capture
