    Default Dragonfly

Hi everyone, with all the dragonfly's being posted I thought I would post one of mine also. Taken in Dallas a while back never got around to editing them, this one just popped out at me and I thought I would share it.

Very good sharpness within your DOF and the flash is nicely diffused! You might consider toning down the very bright piece of the plant between the rear legs as it is drawing my eye. Likewise for the bright LLC. You might also tone down the brighter sections of the stem under the abdomen. These are just minor tweaks to improve an already strong image.

Re-post with the fixes that were suggested, removed the branch from the abdomen, same as for the LLC, darkened the plant he's griped too. 1st time i've done kind of work in PS. Hope it looks better.
Comments and tips are always welcome.

    Hi Brian,
I really like this image. Textures on the dragonfly show up so well here. Lighting is very well handled. Repost is an improvement. Lovely frame.

I like your repost, Brian! Now my eye goes right to the dragonfly - and stays there.

Excellent Brian I like the repost in particular. It is always good to try to depict the subject in a less than traditional manner and I think this really is a good image.

Hi once again Jonathan, thank you a lot for your comment, I even agree the repost is a lot better should have done it in the 1st place but it's all about learning and what other people see that you don't helps a lot.

    Thanks once more.
