Looking through some files from last year I though i'd try something different (for me anyway). Shot at Fort DeSoto in the lagoon near North Beach

I like the low angle shooting, the sweet blurred BG, the colors and the direct stare of the bird. Feels like it needs a little rotation. Very nice image, Mike.

I also get the feeling the image needs a bit of rotation, but all else ticks my boxes: low angle, BG, colours, processing.

Great looking frame. Lots of nice colors and details. Love the comp. Looks pretty level to me.

An excellent eye-to-eye image Mike. I like the pano presentation---it gives a "staring off into the distance' feel to it.

Hi Mike, excellent low perspective, and I do like the angled pose. The pano comp works for me, and I like the overall colours in the image. I feel the rotation is just fine.

Thanks everyone, comments appreciated as always.

I did struggle a bit with the level, I think the angle of the sand meeting the water in the BG creates something of an optical illusion.

Still, having read Arties blog today, it can happen to the best of us!

    Mike
