Default Eagle up close and personal 5DIV@1200mm

Another shot from the other day in the hide. Can't see the carcass but wanted to see what detail it could still get with a 2x.

Canon 5DIV with 600II+2X extender. Raw converted in DPP. Then just a sliver taken off the top and sharpened, resized in PS. ISO1600,f8@2500 sec. Thanks for looking and all the input on the last frame.

Excellent portrait. Beautiful head turn and his stare. Superb composition.

Great looking close up of this eagle. Nice details and colors and I like the BG. By the size of that big upper mandible it looks like a juvie baldie to me. Nice capture.

    Thanks guys.

On the saturation I've now added +1 on the saturation to the DPP preset I'm using for the MKIV as I've had to add it to every single file so far.

Yes it's a bald, I always just look to see it the feathers go all the way down to the talons did not know you could go by the mandible. Thanks for that info.

I only wish the pale band in the BG running behind the neck was not there, otherwise a fantastic vertical portrait of this awesome fella. I love the ruffled feathers behind the head.
