An elephant strips the bark of a Baobab tree in search of water/moisture. You can see the bark stripped off with its tusks. He then positioned himself along the tree & sucked at the fresh bark with his trunk.

Hi Sanjeev - Good techs and details with enough dof to have the tree and both tusks in focus. As a portrait I wish a little more of the ele was out from behind the tree and as a behavior shot I wish the ele was sucking at the fresh bark as you described.

    Rachel

Hi Sanjeev -- Looks like a dry habitat with harsh conditions ! Animals always find a way out in such situations . You have got some nice details and the PP work is quite good . I would love to see the frame where it is sucking the bark !

    TFS !

Better photo of an elephant than your more recent post (if that were the goal), but I prefer the one that better directs ones attention to the behavior you were documenting.

Having seen the damage they bring to the baobabs this is the first set of images showcasing the behaviour and how they do it, and I thank you Doc :)
This one is nice, but I too prefer the other closeup.
