    Default The new generation

I was taking a group of photographers to the nesting site of our jewel in Yucatan. Here is one image of about a one month old flamingo.

Hi Lorant, I cant recall ever seeing such a young Flamingo, so kudos to you for sharing. I like the pose with the semi raised leg, and the total calmness of the water has resulted in a very clear reflection. Im assuming the lighter band across the image are distant OOF Flamingo's.

Thanks for your words, Stu. The OOF band is our Mayan clay...it is a little strip of land that characterizes the area. In many places people go and "bath" in that clay. They believe it is good for the skin. I have done it a few times and it feels great. :)

What a cutie! I've never seen a youngster before. Great pose and reflection. I could imagine a version without the Mayan clay.

Beautiful image Lorant! Love the serene setting and the perfect reflection. I may have preferred a pure blue background though. Thanks for sharing!

This is a first for me seeing a baby flamingo. Love the low view here. I am wishing the clay line to be a lot lower in the frame as it cuts the bird. Not that there is anything you can do about it.

How cute is this! Perfect reflection. I like the vertical comp. I'd have preferred the BG band not there, and the blacks deeper. Good stuff!

Lorant, nice and sharp, nice reflection, too bad about the OOF clay in the BG.
