    I captured this image at Lake Morton in Lakeland, Florida. One of the four species of swans calling that lake home. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D7000
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED shot at 175mm (262mm FFE)
    1/500 F/8 Matrix Metering + 1/3 EV ISO 1000 AWB, camera supported by a monopod
    Post processed in Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC, enhanced the iris and darkened the pupil
    Cropped for composition and presentation

    Great shot. Tack focus and lots of detail on a black bird which is always an exposure challenge. It looks like this one let you get close.

    Hi Joe, excellent exposure on the blacks, and I really like the DOF that shows up all the feather detail. Overall sharp, and I like the position of the head.
