Hey everyone!
It’s been quite some time since I posted here. I never stopped checking and admiring your work but did not have time to go through my summer pictures.
Here is a hoopoe busy feeding the next generation. I hope you like it. Any advices on how to make it better are much appreciated.
Cheers,
Kalin

Wow this is very appealing. I love the landing pose and the morsel in the bill (pupae?). The green BG is very good, but could use some NR in some areas (as well as in the LRC). The "perch" and vegetation is a neat touch. I do feel the subject is a touch low in the frame - you could either crop about 15% off the top and right, or add back the same amount below and right. Some may like the small flying insect, I'd remove it if mine. Having said all this, I'm quite digging this image, you really brought out the essence of this species really well.
Glad to have you back posting. What a terrific image. Love the behavior/action captured here with the raised feet, perfect head angle and much feather detail. Love how the nest tree grounds the image and with a pleasing green background BG everything came together nicely. I personally like the framing/cropping as is. Dinner in its beak is a nice finishing touch!!
Hey everyone!
Thanks for the great comments and advices!
I tried to follow them a bit in post processing. Here is the outcome.
I cropped a bit more, applied noise reduction and removed the bug. I think noise might be so visible due to the compression I needed to apply in order to fit in the 400K.
I removed the bug although I am not really into removing things from which were in the pic but I thought of it as a big dust spot on my sensor. I looks like one anyways J.
Thanks again!
Kalin
Agree with Marina here about the insect. Lovely image, well captured with very pleasing wing positions and head angle. Working on the noise in the background was my first and probably only suggestion but the second one is better in that respect as well.
