This was an unexpected bonus on a day I was trying to get pictures of Osprey diving along with several other photographers.
While watching for osprey I noticed something out of the corner of my eye and was able to get my camera up and take a couple of frames.
It happened so fast I didn't realize what I had but very happy a few moments later when I looked. Unfortunately it was so close I couldn't fit the bird in frame.
    Thanks for looking.

Great catch, Tim. Lovely and sharp but I especially like the greys on the bird and BG and the repeating curves of the neck and neck feathers and plumes trailing from the head. Yellow of the bill and eye a nice contrast against the greys and the fish and droplets a real bonus.

Pretty amazing for a "grab shot". Good reaction. Love the fish and the drops.

Wish it were mine, wonderful image. Fish is turned the right way, sharp detail, nice colors, complimentary background. Thank you for sharing, Tim.

Yes, great looking image. Well captured Tim. I really like how it looks like the Herons eye is in eye contact with the fish.

I remember this one. What a great grab shot! Can't believe he didn't lose the trout. Well done

A shot like this is the stuff of dreams Tim--great reaction and coordination to get on the bird and perfect preparedness on the camera settings.
