This Gerbera bud was a half day away from being a full bloom when I snapped its portrait. I processed it in Adobe's Camera Raw and added an antique color action at the end.

Michael, you're right...a higher f/stop would have given me a full DOF on the flower but that wasn't what I was going for. I wanted to draw your attention to the front petals to highlight the part of the flower that still was yet to open. I know it's purely a matter of taste, but I shot a few with a higher DOF and this was the one that fit what I was trying to convey.
Yes, Fabs, now that you mention it...I see that, too! Just trying to keep the thing from being dead center - I'll give it a little tweak on my next go-round.
