    D7200, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, IO 1600, 1/2500 sec @ f/7.1 manual. (set for flight).

    That's a beauty, Bill. Excellent exposure, nice foreground with the bird perched on a rock, perfect background. Thank you for sharing.

    Perhaps a touch dark overall (but I am sure it reflects the mood and lighting you had). Nice habitat - I especially like the wine red grasses, and the pano crop works. Very fortunate that it chose a rock to elevate itself up from the ground!

    Great capture considering the thick overcast, Bill. Once again there's something about the overcast days in Iceland that lend themselves to producing a beautiful richness as in this image. Like that we see the eye so clearly. Nice view of the folded wing and tail feathers.

    Hi Bill, a nice eye level capture of the Tern, and I like the curvature of the body. The eye shows up well enough from the black cap, and I do like the rich red bill too. Killer upper BG.
