What a stunning image, Gail. Your BG colors are awesome and your bird stands out so nicely against them. Love the light under the bird, the flight pose and that you can clearly see that pointed tail. You must have been so stoked to capture this image!!!

Terrific capture, Gail. Great flight position and wonderful sky. Good exposure. We saw a pair of them over the marsh on the road into the Bird Museum at Myvatn. They gave us a thriller of a flight display, with some nice close fly-bys. It was a very hot day over the cool marsh, and some thermal anomaly (refraction?) prevented my AF from locking in. I tried Manual but no better. So I have some great OOF shots. Congrats on getting this one in focus.

I pretty much thought exactly what Marina said. Just lovely all around. I also really like the way the sky becomes cloudy near the top. Makes for a very interesting image. I'd be stoked just to see a Jaeger this well. Getting a shot like this would be gravy.

Excellent. The banking pose id perfect, and I really like the clouds occupying the top third of the frame. I even like the imperfection in the flight feathers of the far wing!

Super nice frame here Gail, with wings showing nicely! BG is superb to compliment this handsome skua. Nice job keep those whites NOT blown! Well done indeed.

Hi Gail, great choice of comp to suit this flying pose, and overall well exposed shooting up towards the sky. Overall, tack sharp on the Skua, and I do like the colour to the upper BG.

A real beauty Gail! I like the pose, composition, IQ, exposure and colour scheme.
