    Basic editing. Cropped for composition.


    ISO: 400, 1/1000 @5.6. Spot metering. Manual settings.
    Canon 550D, 100-400 mm.

    Nice closeup of Tricolored Munia Really nice to see some Indian birds on this page for me. Bird looks good and I like the background color. I am not a big fan of the large out of focus branch above the bird as I feel it competes for attention with the bird. Head angle could be better. Also I think you could use a round of noise reduction to the background. If mine I think I would try a version with the stick cloned out above the bird and see how it came. Not sure it would be better but worth a shot.

    Isaac, thank you for your feed back and kind compliments. I thought of removing the branch above the head,but I had problem with composition. sorry,forgot to apply NR to Bg.
    I had image with nice head angle,will post soon.

    For me the composition works better although I can see some cloning artifacts. Curious what others think about removing the stick. Also I still the the shot would benefit with some noise reduction to the background.

    Hi Satish,
    You had beautiful light which really makes the shot.
    I love the color palette .BG color is lovely and compliments the bird well could use another round on NR.I see some faints cloning marks around the tail. Easy fix.
    I am not too fussy about the branch above the head. It looms a bit large over the bird. I would consider cropping from the top to a more square format ( I love square images!).
    I like the HA and the IQ of the image.
