Photographed this guy the other morning at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge in Queens, New York. South end of the East Pond at the raunt. Had a fun experience that morning. I situated myself near the edge of the pond and gave sufficient room for the birds to forage and get used to me. Thing is that they kept getting closer and closer. I had to take my converter off. Then had to move back 5 times to keep the birds in focus. Eventually I stopped moving back and had 50+ birds feeding within 5 feet of me. Was very hard to get pics cause they were all so close and actively feeding. I just kept my eyes glued to the shoreline and waited for opportunities to take pictures. I have to say it was quite a treat to have so many birds feeding so close to me for over an hour. Eventually they were all scared off by a Peregrine. I have so many close up shots from that morning. Chose this one as there was a little action and the foot is raised.
Canon 7dii and Canon 500 f4 ii. ISO 500, F9, SS 1/1000. Tripod mounted while lying in the mud.
Converted in DPP 4. Auto White Balance. In PS I added some canvas to the top and to the right. Adjusted for saturation, contrast and highlights and shadows. Sharpened and applied noise reduction to background. Also cleaned up a few white blobs in the foreground.
Edit: Don't know what that line on the left side of the pic is. It's not in my pic at all. Maybe something that happened when uploading? Not sure how to change it.
Edit #2- Thanks Stu. I fixed it as you said and replaced the image. This time it had no line.

Hi Isaac, lovely low angle, and I like the raised foot. I like the show of the different layers of feathers and your comp works well. I do like the overall colours in the image. I can see the line. Have you tried editing your image as if you were replacing it with another one. Go to advanced, remove your current image and replace it with the same image.
