The lichen-covered rocks in Iceland make for great settings, so I've left this guy small in the frame (full-frame). From Flatey Island, Iceland in July.

So nice Bill. I really like this. As you say that rock is just great. The raised foot adds to the image and the grasses are a nice bonus as well. Everything looks just right to me. Sharp, well composed and great colors. And I love the background water. Don't know if this would make the image better or worse, but I wonder if you took a little from the bottom and added a little more of that great water to the top if that would not make the shot a little more balanced. Now the bird is more on the top of the frame. Just a suggestion to try but not sure it is necessary.

Hi Bill, perfect placement of the Puffin in the URC, and well timed to get the raised foot. Lovely contrast in colours between the yellow linchen, and the rich blue water. I would leave your comp as is.

Love the comp here, the colours throughout are beautiful. Nice detail throughout and a lovely pose on the bird.

Good one, Bill. What strikes me immediately is the wonderful use of contrast in the entire image. The rich quality, with foot raised and single fish in beak is outstanding.
