1/2000 F/8 Matrix Metering +1 EV ISO 1400 AWB, camera supported by a monopod
Post processed in Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC, the original had a band of out of focus green vegetation at the top of the frame, after masking the bird I painted over it with a soft brush at 20% opacity

I too would have gone for more room at top and right. I love the open bill pose and perfect head angle.

Moved the bird back in the frame in ten seconds using techniques from APTATS I & II. Reduced the contrast a bit using a gentle reverse S-Curve.
