    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED shot at 400mm (600mm FFE)
    1/2000 F/8 Matrix Metering 0 EV ISO 640 AWB, single focus point, continuous autofocus, middle point to the right of the center point active on the birds upper head and bill

    I like the singing pose. Background is nice as well. I am not a fan of man made objects in shots but with these birds there are very little options. I have been on Joe Overstreet and there are not too many options so we take what we can get. The bird hasa green cast to it. The whites do not look white and the browns on the back are not deep enough. Even the stump looks green.

    Hi Joe,
    Beautiful pose!Perfect head turn and perfect catch light. Nice clear view of the feet.

    Hi Isaac and Gail, thank you for viewing and commenting, very much appreciated. I struggle seeing color casts. About the only way I can do it is to put the image away for a while, then open it and go with my first impression of the image. Too green, too blue, too red etc. This one I posted after working on it. I think this is better adjusting the white balance (color temperature and tint).

    Super shot Jo, I too saw a cast but the repost looks good. I don't mind the post, it is man made yet "natural" much as you would expect to see waders in Europe on fence posts.
    I like the pose and the big feet.

    the repost is good, but the first post wasnt bad or so.. only very small difference in my eyes.
    you have done a good job with the light, because i see that you have taken this picture in the afternoon.
