    Default Bald Eagles Mating

This was a shot from March at the Bald Eagle nest I follow near town. I've lucked out the past 2 years and caught them in the act. Thought I'd include it in the theme for August.

    This was taken handheld with Canon 7DII, 100-400II, at 400mm, f/5.6, 1/1250, ISO 500

    This is great!
IQ is excellent and the high key works well.
I would increase the saturation in the greens a bit (try decreasing luminance in the greens as well).
    Well exposed.I like the snow.
My only wish would be that we could have seen a bit of the eye of the female. Nothing you can do to change that.
    Good image,
    Gail

Very nice behavioral frame Geoff, I also wish the lower bird's head was a bit more visible and you had a better BG with less distraction, the tree interesting with the upper bird is a bit distracting. I think the image could use a bit more contrast and saturation adjustment as it looks a bit dull on my screen.

HI Geoff - Excellent behavior captured. I agree with the comments above and also thought the image could use a bit more punch as it is a little flat tonally.

Killer behavior captured and love all the included environment. Agree on a contrast boost. I am not into cloning but for web presentation, I would clone the twig on the female head and the one just to the left.
