    Default Juvenile Caspian Tern Wingspan

This young individual is happy to show what helps make it the world's largest species of tern: a 50" wingspan. The wide and thin pose screamed for a pano crop...

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/4000s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, an oof gull removed between the wing to our right and the frame's edge. Hard to see as posted, but a catchlight added on the eye to our left.

Now that's a full wing spread! The pano shows it nicely, and I love the moment captured, just off the ground. Perfect exposure and nice detail.

Pano crop is the way for sure in this case. Nice exposure, PP work and all. Very impressive wing span and a super moment captured. I just wish to see it bigger. Well done.

Wonderful moment, Daniel! Well exposed and with great details. The background also adds to the image.
    Well done!
