Hi Morkel -- A nice routine behavioural scene of the wildebeest's during migration . To me it is not a very appealing image as the a big blank spot in the LHS of the frame is not working for me .
It might look just fine in BW conversion .

    Sorry and TFS !

Thanks Haseeb - I actually like the snaking S line formed by the wildebeest in contrast to the blank space you mentioned.

I have to disagree with Haseeb, I think this is a terrific image, it looks well balance to me I just love the atmosphere and the muted colours.

Morkel what appeals to me most is how the the animals fade into the dusty mist adding lots of atmosphere to your image,my sort of image which I like a lot.

Great image - the s shape works and the blank dusty spaces do a good job of portraying the scene imho

Hi Morkel, works for me, but I feel it needs a sliver more below at the foot and just upping the Blacks in a Curves adjustment for a fraction more punch.

Morkel, such a joy to view your work really kiddo. Anyway I love this ,the colour palette but most of all the dust and how it effects the gnu,it adds so much depth. The bones are also a bit ominous can you elucidate whose they might be? For me they protrayi in part, how hazardous this crossing could be . But not knowing Africa I could be miles off in my assumptions . I like the framing, which with a large herd must be incredibly tricky, leastways I feel it would be to me.
But what really makes this image for me what really makes this stand out is that within all those beasts and all that dust you spotted that moment between mum and calf over on the LHS it's reads almost apprehensive to me. From the sharp guys up front to the all but invisible from the dust it's a wonderful capture Morkel ,the placement of the individuals works for me aswell I like the S,it's made me hang on to this longer than I should have
    awesome kiddo

    take care

Morkel - Upon opening and before reading any of the comments my reaction was that I really love the S shape of the line of wildebeest. Agree that perhaps a bit more room below would enhance but not a deal breaker. The clouds of dust add nicely.

    Rachel
