    Hi All,

I took this shot at Bear River Wild Refugee, Utah. Always wanted to try to take a Pelican Silhouette, was able to get this one last week.

This should have planned better it was really dark and hence had to raise my ISO. I shot this at a higher ISO than I would have liked.

    Details:-
Nikon D500, Sigma 150-600mm sports Lens
    ISO 8000, 1/200 sec, f/7.1

    Post Processing:-
    Noise Reduction (Neat Image)
    Saturation Increased Photoshop Elements
    Exposure Adjustments - Lightroom

    Hi Krishna,
I see what you were going for here, try adjusting the contrast a bit, I also straightened out the image.
you might want to sharpen it also, I hope this helps.

Yes, Tim's repost is where you should be going; the colors are great. In an ideal world, you would have avoided the merge of the rear bird's bill with the front bird. Well seen. With the birds well away from you there was no need for f/7.1.

    Hi Artie,

Thank you for your reply. I think that was my mistake. I should have shot it wide open.

I will again go this week and will try to correct this mistake. I will also try to correct my other mistake and avoid merging rear bird's bill with the front bird.

    Thanks
    Krishna

Hi Krishna, You've got the idea: practice, practice, practice, and post a lot--the very best ways to learn. Heck, your image is way, way better than I did when I started back in 1983 :()
