    These Rails were all the rage at the local wetlands a couple of years ago when it was first documented that they were nesting there, they even made the local paper.

    Nice shot of this endangered bird, in good light. Looks a lot like our Clapper Rail, although with more reddish color than I've seen in our East Coast variety. I guess the AOU in their wisdom decided to split the species a few years ago, so you get to add another species to your list. Congrats for documenting it.

    Sure does look like our clapper, lovely pose, and habitat image. I like the out of place white tail feather.IQ terrific.

    Always nice to see a new species.
    I really like the included environment and that wayward feather.
    Nice position of head and body with a perfect catchlight.
    IQ, sharpness, comp all good.
    Only thing that could make this better would be a view of the feet,
