A bull elephant senses our presence with this wonderful sideways head turn as the last light hits the top of the clouds above.

Hi Marc -- You are on fire with the elephant-scapes ! Another fantastic image ! The textures of the elephant are well highlighted amidst the green surface and the vertical framing is working well here . I find a bit of noise in the clouds may be due to highlights/shadows a bit overdone and that bird appears more as a sensor particle , i would have preferred to clone it out . But a lovely image nonetheless .

    TFS !

Have only applied S/H selectively on the ele, nothing else, I did use TK cloud sharpening for the sky and that (still) introduces a small amount of noise, and yes I could have used NR there, but happy with how it presents.

So simple but very effective - I really like this one Marc. The balance in the composition if great, there is that lovely bit of light in the sky, and the half turn the ele is giving adds a little dynamism to the image.

I'm guessing that black dot at elephants eye level is a bird, but I'd be tempted to lose it.

Spot on , the elephant is relatively small yet you have conveyed great detail, love the composition and lighting.

A classic frame, Marc - the soft pastel colours, layered simplicity and the dynamic pose of the subject makes it stand out.

Hi Marc - Another frame that works well for its simplicity. Like the clean bg and lines too. Well done.
