I don't like the shadow on the face, I guess flash was an option, but flash may have scare her away...

Interesting, the shape of the lower mandible seems to be perfect to carry a snail. Great light and details but a bit tight in the frame.

Flash would have helped some, but I don't mind the light. Too bad you couldn't get the whole bird in the frame. That snail really does fit well in there!

I'd be curious to see the full frame version as an alternate crop may be in order (perhaps cropping the whole tail out and up to half of the wing) I also wish the hanging snack at bottom wasn't clipped. Apart from that your timing was perfect and the view of the snail's shell in the mouth is superb!!

What a mouthful, Raul! Great detail but just a little bit tight.

Here is the full frame picture, I was trying to get more detail on the snail...

    Daniel,
I believe what is in the mouth is the snail outside the shell. Of course I could be wrong, Any snail kites experts?

Comments on composition appreciated; as posted original, as compose with the camera or other alternative.
    Thanks
    Raul

Now that I see that the original includes the complete tail this is the version I prefer most. I still wish whatever is hanging down from the branch (food?) would not be clipped. You could crop to just above the knob that is touching the frame.

This is the most extensive PS work on any of my pictures, probably a stretch of my skills, but it give me an opportunity to practice.
Blend to frames to add the missing snail part.
    Thanks,
    Daniel

    HI Raul,

I don't mind the cropped version nor the original. The light and Shadow makes this very unique!

I vote for the full version. Second crop is a little tight on the head. Nice.
