    Default Grey Heron and Perch

    I wasn't expecting this Heron to land on this perch, but I am glad it did, for me to get a couple of shots before it took off again. The perch is an old tree, on the loch, not far from where my hide is.

    Hi Will, Bravo, your composition is lovely. I like the placement of the heron and the lone feather displayed between the two snags is a bonus! I would suggest more room on the left side so the bottom of the heron has more room. Also, maybe darken the top of the head a wee bit. I like this , nice work.

    Sharp with a really neat pose and image design. Reminds me of an Audubon folio print where he folded the birds up to fit them on the page. That said I would enjoy a bit more room all around.

    Will it's good that you got the piece of wood and the bird all in focus,bird stands out nicely against that dark bg and I agree that lone feather adds lots of interest.
