    Default Golden-Fronted Woodpecker

This is a female Golden-Fronted Woodpecker. She landed on this perch for only a couple of seconds (the story of my photographic life :)). I managed to squeeze off a couple of frames and I liked this one the best.

I think you should be happy she landed at all. :) Great image, I like the pose, light, details and BG but the open bill puts it over the top for me.

Very nice. You gotta love em when they give you the back, with all the markings, then turn the head for you too. I can't think of anything I would change here.

These guys don't stay any where very long. I've got a lot of frames of them with only tail feathers. :-)

Good work getting this one. Your composition and BG are very nice. I like the pose, too.

Very sweet as presented, great plumage detail and neat BG. Open bill the icing!

Great pose, BG, perch, exposure, sharpness and of course, subject.

Very nice shot, Doug. Nice pose all the way around, and great background.
