Back story: I was disappointed with the sharpness of my first shots with this lens combo so I checked using LensAlign/Microadjustment and it was heavily front focused and required +13. The lens by itself was spot on. This is my first shot after adjustment.

Great birds. Such awesome colors. I like the perch and their pose. I like the crop very much and it works well here for me. Head angle could be a little better and more parallel to the back of the camera. Now they are looking just slightly away. Image quality is good but I feel you could get a tiny bit more detail out of this shot. Perhaps using detail extractor. Also the background could use a round of noise reduction. Not sure if it is just my screen but the bare part of the branch that is just below the top birds feet looks slightly hot to me. I would tone that down. Wish I had a shot of these stunners.

Fantastic colours. Lovely details. I love the pose on both birds, you can feel the concentration on their faces. The colours on the birds go real well with the BG. Well done Colin.
