    Default Theme: Framed trees

This frame is one I put around the tress (which I've already posted last year) because I wanted it to fit into a standard frame but could not find a logical way to crop it. It's taller than wider. So I created a double frame. Looked like a double mat when printed.

The frame works very well with this image, but this image is great by itself!

Hazel...I like this! The colors work very well together and it has a great sense of depth and mood. I like the frame also!

Thanks so much. The frame, as I said, was to make it "framable" in a standard 18x24 frame.

Hi, Hazel, I remember this post. The frame is a nice addition, especially the colors you chose for the inner frame. Topaz?

Wonderful image! I remember liking it the first time around.
Your solution to the image not being the right size is brilliant! The result looks very nice. Good job selecting the color of the inner mat.
I often run into this problem--image not the right size. I'm not sure I understand why adding the "frame" worked. Couldn't you just have enlarged the image to the desired size?

no, Anita I tried enragement but to get the ratio needed for a standard frame I would have needed to crop vertically and didn't want to do that. It may not show up well here, but the actual frame is not the same on top/ bottom as it is on sides

Thanks for the answer! Did you add a mat or just use the mat you created on the image?
