    Cardinal Woodpecker - female

I always get excited when I find a woodpecker's nest!
This one was located at Nambiti Game Reserve near Ladysmith, South Africa.

I like everything about this especially the proportions of the perch tree, bird, and BKGR. Both the tree and the BKGR are very sweet and you did a good job of focusing on the eye. The head angle and position of the head could not be better...

    This is very nice Richard.
I would like to see a bit less perch and would crop in about 5% from the LHS.
Good IQ and great BG colors.Excellent head turn.
Why did you use vibrancy instead of saturation? That is a slider I rarely use.

I like it too. Nice details and HA as stated. I might try a different comp with less perch showing. Well done
