    I captured this image in my backyard on a setup for birds, dragonflies love it, birds lukewarm. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D7000

    Jo the perch looks entirely credible for dragons as well as birds! The image has obviously been thought about, your angle has provided maximum view and information on the dragonfly. The wings are in good focus and so is the head and thorax. I like the colours and detail is good.
    Just a thought - do you use Nik filters if so have you tried the fine detail, it is good on the fine hairs on the head.

    I do have the Nik software/filters on my computer, I will take a look and give them a try.

    Hi Joseph,
    nice head on view and I like the veining shown in the wings. This light horizontal across the BG is slightly distracting to me but still a fine image.
