... is a house with a front porch, an ocean view, and daisies in the yard. Atlantic Puffin at his (her) burrow on the Latrabjarg cliff. There are just a few spots at Latrabjarg where, by perching yourself near the edge, you can get a look at a burrow on the cliff face.

Nice settings with the rocks and the flowers. The void gives a good sense of the protection of the habitat. The image looks too dark on my monitor; I'd open up the dark tones a bit. I feel there is a need to give more empty space to the left where the birds is looking at. TFS.

Love it. This little guy looks like he has been dropped into a studio his portrait to be taken. So beautiful. I like it as posted, but Lorant's suggestion of more space in front, does have good merit. Sitting on the cliff face has paid off!

I like the display of habitat, the image isn't dark, the blacks have good detail you could probably try to eek out a tad more but not bad as is. I agree with moving the bird to the right to leave more space where he is looking at

Great find, Bill. As many Puffins as there are at this location, it's not easy seeing their burrows. I like the environment and can see that it might add to the frame if, as mentioned above, there was a bit more space on the left.

Ditto above Bill, more room and what a gorgeous shot. I like your composition and the daisy frame... wonderful.

Thank you all for all the kind and helpful comments. This is virtually full-frame (95%). I purposely composed it in the camera the way I did so as to show the entire burrow, and not crop off the perimeter of the hole on the right; and I want to leave it that way to tell the story. I hear what you are saying about some more room on the left, however. Normally I would have more room in the direction that the bird is looking than on the other side. I suppose I could add some canvas to make it a pano, giving him some room to look into. But it struck me that that would create more 'empty' space, and put the bird in the center of the frame. I'll give it a try.
