I look forward to heading back to the Mara Triangle in Kenya on this Sunday.
Although the main focus of the safari is obviously the Great Migration, it's hard not to whip our your wide angle lens on occasion in the Mara.

This is a moody sunset from last year's safari. We were waiting for a building wildebeest herd on the opposite end of the river to start crossing, and with a scene like this behind us, we had it good on both ends.

    Techs:
    Nikon D800
    Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 @ 24mm
    Kenko Pro Circular Polariser
    f8.0 | 1/320 SS | ISO-140

Woots, this is sooo nice, Morkel! Very very nice. I really like the tonality on this image. I assume this was taken using your second camera for the wide end of the focal length?

I usually travel with 2 bodies, and would hold a wide angle lens at the ready. On this trip, I was fortunate to have a D810 and new 400mm f2.8 to test out from Nikon South Africa, so was able to have 3 cameras on hand, one with a 70-200 and one with a 24-70.

Beautifully captured and converted to B&W...I love the rays of light radiating out from the clouds!
