From my bear tour a couple years ago in Alaska. This sow caught a large silver salmon and noticed some more heading up stream and was going to chase them to catch another.. She just forgot to drop the one she was eating. Only slight crop for horizon, minimal processing with selective sharpening on bear at 90, .2 and 0. Clone out OOF gull in BG

Superb upright alert pose here Dale, the drenced coat with cascading/dripping water really completes the story nicely.

Would try to reduce the highlights on the salmon a little more if it's possible from the RAW file?

Hi Dale - Love all the water pouring off her. Great upright stance and vertical comp was obviously the way to go. Sharpness looks good. Agree with Marc on the highlights but not a deal breaker. I am enjoying your bear images so please keep them coming.

    Rachel

What a cool pose and wet look here, Dale! Cracking frame, love the vertical orientation.
I would have liked a tad less on top and more at the bottom, seems that there could be more "room for the feet" virtually?

Hi Dale -- Lovely image ! The eye contact also makes this special in addition to the standing pose with the Salmon in its mouth . Also liked the framing with the inclusion of some sky . Enjoyed viewing this image .

Fantastic image of this bear. The pose, the water, the salmon (or a part of it) really make this image special. Great colours and timing.

Hi Dale, love the trailing water and look to camera with just the Salmon head.
