Default Spotted Darter (sympetrum depressiusculum) in landing pose

The goal was to get the front view.
1DXII, 600 IS II L, tripod, native light & perch. Not other lens used because I was waiting for the birds under the hide and this spotted darter was hunting around me :).
Prefocus (manual focus), 600mm, f/11 (to get deep DOF), 1/1600s (to balance between motion blur of wings & body speed), ISO1600.
I got 2 sharp frames (14fps mode) and due to wings position I choose this one.
    PP: crop 50%, tone adjustment.

Good and sharp well exposed image. The two large highlights are usually seen as presented, sometimes it is an idea to remove them. i must confess there are times when I do and times I don't depending upon where the image is being featured.
